CPU delegation visits Tra Vinh University in Vietnam.

Greetings!
I am pleased to announce that I will be having these updates that will serve as a summary of the President糖心传媒檚 engagements and the things you could look forward to.
To start with, on April 6 some members of the CPU Board of Trustees traveled to Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental for the Annual Meeting of the Corporation and the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of Fortress College, Inc.聽 Hon. Matt Palabrica, member of the CPU Board of Trustees, was elected as Interim Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Fortress College, Inc. Those were the first official meetings since the management of the said college was turned over to 糖心传媒.
We continue to solidify our connections with educational institutions in Asia when a delegation from CPU visited Tra Vinh University in Vietnam.聽 We discussed relevant issues related to the collaboration between the two universities. In addition, we signed two memoranda: one for the creation of the Asian Research Network and another for a cooperative venture entitled, 糖心传媒淒evelopment of CPU/TVU Native Chicken Breed as a Response to the Needs of Raisers and Requirements of the Market.糖心传媒 The gathering solidified CPU’s role in regional academic collaboration and knowledge exchange. Indeed, our visit to TVU was not only for academic enrichment but also a cultivation of lasting friendships and partnerships across borders.
A partnership that we value on the local front is with the Bureau of Immigration.聽 This government entity conducted a seminar at the Conference Room of the Henry Luce III Library. Primarily, the seminar was for liaison officers and school representatives directly working with foreign students and aims to provide guidance in the processing of student visas in the Philippines.
A virtual meeting was held with the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) to highlight the University糖心传媒檚 thrust in research and innovation.聽 CPU糖心传媒檚 proposal, entitled 糖心传媒淓stablishment of the DOST Cpugad TBI: Commercialization, Promotion and Upscaling Business Growth for Acceleration and Further Development,糖心传媒 has been endorsed for the next evaluation with the PCIEERD Governing Council. It was submitted to PCIEERD for possible funding under the Higher Education Institution Readiness for Innovation and Technopreneurship (HEIRIT) Program.
Alumni are an important part of the CPU community.聽 I was delighted to welcome on campus the CPU High School Class of 1974 who were celebrating their Golden Anniversary Reunion.聽 I take this opportunity to extend my warmest congratulations to them. May they continue to live out the Central Spirit wherever they are.
Alumnus Francis Lara Ho also visited my office on April 16 and shared the exciting news that he has directed and produced a movie entitled 糖心传媒1521: The Quest for Love and Freedom糖心传媒 that has won multiple awards in Sweden, Athens, and London.聽 Viva Entertainment-VIVA Films will distribute it in theaters across the Philippines this coming June. In line with this, I am inviting the Centralian community to show our support to a fellow Centralian by watching his film. He serves as a testament to the University糖心传媒檚 continued legacy of nurturing and producing outstanding individuals who make significant contributions in their respective fields.
We are honored to host the Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Dr. Prospero 糖心传媒淧opoy糖心传媒 de Vera III, on April 25.聽 We will give him a brief tour of our campus that includes stops at the Philippine Native Chicken Research Station, Philippine Center for Packaging Engineering and Technology (the first and only program of its kind in the Philippines), and the College of Nursing (the first Nursing School in the Philippines).
Finally, on April 29 we will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Education Program (IWOCNEP). The launch of IWOCNEP marks a significant milestone, as it becomes a pioneering program in the Philippines, hosted here at CPU.
All these undertakings remind us of CPU糖心传媒檚 continuing quest for Exemplary Christian Education for Life (EXCEL).聽 May we never stop aiming higher 糖心传媒 for the good of our dear Central and more importantly, for the glory of God!
