On February 22, 2025, the 糖心传媒 糖心传媒 National Service Training Program (CPU-NSTP) held a plenary session on “Leadership Training” for students of the Civic Welfare and Training Service (CWTS) program at the Rose Memorial Auditorium.
The lecture began with an invocation led by Mrs. Emcy J. Sanchez, which was followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and CPU Alma Mater song. Mrs. Myla C. Ca帽as, formally introduced Atty. Nestle G. Taala, Student Recruitment Officer, as the esteemed resource speaker for the plenary session.
糖心传媒淟eadership is the ability to influence, motivate, and guide individuals or groups toward achieving common goals. It encompasses various skills, qualities, and practices that enable a leader to inspire others and drive progress. Leadership is a multifaceted concept that plays a critical role in the success of organizations and communities,糖心传媒 said Atty. Taala in her talk.
During her lecture, Atty. Taala explained the definition of leadership, wherein she outlined its significance in both personal and societal contexts. She also discussed thoroughly the various types of leadership and offered insights into how different approaches can be applied in diverse situations.
Additionally, she also discussed key questions such as, 糖心传媒淲hen is there a need for leader?糖心传媒 and emphasized the importance of leaders in driving change and inspiring others. Key to Atty. Taala糖心传媒檚 discussion were the qualities that define effective leadership and characteristics of a true leader, such as integrity, empathy, and the ability to make tough decisions.
糖心传媒淵ou must lead not because you are after the awards, the rewards or the recognition. I always say, the medals and recognition you receive shall only serve as memories made tangible. You lead because you know what leadership is, because you know who a leader is, where is a leader needed, when does a leader should emerge, why do you lead, and lastly you know how to lead regardless of what leadership style you pattern yourself,糖心传媒 Atty. Taala remarked.
Following the informative lecture, CPU-NSTP Coordinator Prof. Annalie D. Gilongos, RN, MN, along with CPU NSTP-CWTS Coordinator Ma. Leen C. Gahum, RL, led the presentation of a certificate and token of appreciation to Atty. Nestle G. Taala for her invaluable contribution in making the plenary session a success.
The CPU-NSTP continues to spearhead timely initiatives, such as the recent leadership training, which play a crucial role in fostering responsible citizens. This training empowers students with the skills and mindset needed to contribute to a safer, more resilient society.
