Ma. Cynthia T. Pele帽a presents the Hinilawod Epic Chant Recordings poster, which won 3rd Place at the 9th National Archives Congress held at the Grand Xing Hotel, Iloilo City.

The Henry Luce Library (HLL) of 糖心传媒 (CPU) proudly showcased its digitization initiatives at the 9th National Archives Congress (NAC) held on October 20糖心传媒23, 2025, at the Grand Xing Hotel, Iloilo City, with the theme 糖心传媒淐apacity Building on Digital Archiving and Preservation for Archives and Cultural Institutions.糖心传媒

HLL submitted two poster entries highlighting the University糖心传媒檚 efforts in digital preservation and access:

  1. Bahandian Institutional Repository by Vince Ervin V. Palcullo, Lyla P. Gonzaga, and Via Marie Dumenden; and
  2. Hinilawod Epic Chant Recordings by Ma. Cynthia T. Pele帽a and Vince Ervin V. Palcullo.

Out of 25 poster presentations from various institutions across the country, the Hinilawod Epic Chant Recordings poster earned 3rd Place. The winning poster features the library糖心传媒檚 ongoing project to digitize, preserve, and provide access to the recorded oral performances of Hinilawod, the celebrated Sulodnon epic chant of Panay. The project underscores the University糖心传媒檚 commitment to safeguarding the country糖心传媒檚 intangible cultural heritage through modern archival technology.

Meanwhile, the Bahandian Institutional Repository poster showcased CPU糖心传媒檚 open-access digital platform that houses the University糖心传媒檚 scholarly works, research outputs, and heritage collections, promoting visibility and knowledge sharing within and beyond the academic community.

Through these initiatives, the Henry Luce Library continues to affirm its role as a leader in digital archiving and preservation, contributing to the broader mission of cultural sustainability and access to knowledge in the digital age.
