ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ (CPU) has once again solidified its status as a powerhouse in the Iloilo Private Schools Athletic Association (ILOPRISAA) Sports & Cultural Meet 2024. The university clinched numerous championship titles across various sporting events, cementing its position as a leading institution in the region.
During the recent ILOPRISAA Awarding, Closing, Turning-Over, and General Assembly held at the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University-Molo (JBLFMU-Molo) on September 13, CPU was recognized for its outstanding performance. The university received a plaque of appreciation and membership for its numerous victories in the sports, cultural, and academic competitions held from February 26 to April 12. The plaque of appreciation was awarded to Engr. Marc Hermel G. Agriam, CPU Director of the Office of Sports & Athletics while plaque of membership was received by Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy, University President, along with Dr. Esther Rose A. Romarate, Vice President for Student Affairs.
CPU’s impressive haul of victories includes championships in athletics, badminton, basketball, chess, football, futsal, karate, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, and volleyball. The university’s athletes also secured several runner-up finishes, showcasing their exceptional talent and dedication.
In addition to their athletic achievements, CPU also excelled in cultural competitions. The university’s dance and vocal groups brought home several awards, demonstrating their artistic prowess.
The ILOPRISAA Sports & Cultural Meet 2024 showcased the athletic and cultural talents of students from various private schools in the region. CPU’s dominance in the competition is a testament to the university’s commitment to providing its students with opportunities for growth and development both academically and athletically.
