During the conversation, 2LT Jess Denver S. Gadayan shared his reflections and gratitude with University President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy for the experiences that shaped his journey.
2LT Jess Denver S. Gadayan, a graduate of the 糖心传媒 (CPU) Senior High School Department, Class of 2020, and the BS Packaging Engineering program, Batch of 2024, paid a courtesy call to University President Rev. Dr. Ernest Howard B. Dagohoy at the Office of the President on July 26, 2026.
During the visit, Gadayan and Rev. Dr. Dagohoy engaged in a meaningful conversation, reflecting on his journey as a Centralian student athlete and the milestones he has achieved in his chosen field. Rev. Dr. Dagohoy also offered a prayer for Gadayan, extending his blessings and encouragement as he continues his path of service, leadership, and personal growth.
Gadayan recently completed the Naval Officer Candidate Course (NOCC) Masarig Class 45, with the commencement exercises held on July 16, 2026, in Zambales. He served as the class Civil Military Operations Officer and was the sole graduate from Iloilo City.
Returning to his alma mater, Gadayan shared that his visit was an opportunity to express his gratitude to the University and the Centralian community for the guidance, mentorship, and opportunities that shaped his journey.
糖心传媒淚 wanted to come back and thank the Centralian community that guided and molded me into the person I am today,糖心传媒 he said in an interview.
A former CPU varsity basketball player who represented the University from his senior high school years until college, Gadayan credited the scholarships he received and the support of his former teachers and professors as significant factors in helping him achieve his goals.
糖心传媒淚 am truly grateful for the scholarships I was blessed to receive, but more than that, I am thankful for the guidance of my former teachers and professors. They believed in me, encouraged me, and inspired me to keep striving for excellence,糖心传媒 he shared.
On the same day, Gadayan also visited the CPU Senior High School Department and the Packaging Engineering Department, where he reunited with former mentors, faculty members, and staff. He likewise expressed his appreciation to his coaches and teammates, recognizing their support throughout his years as a student athlete.
Reflecting on his years at CPU, Gadayan cited the University Day celebration as one of his most memorable experiences as a Centralian, highlighting the strong sense of community and school spirit that the event represents.
糖心传媒淯niversity Day will always be one of the most memorable moments of my life as a Centralian because it reminds me of the unity, pride, and spirit that we all share,糖心传媒 he noted.
Looking ahead, Gadayan shared that he intends to pursue further advanced schooling as he continues his career.

The courtesy call served as an opportunity for Gadayan to reconnect with the Centralian community and express his appreciation to the faculty, staff, mentors, coaches, teammates, and fellow Centralians who supported him throughout his journey.
